Ryan has always enjoyed educating and helping others. He leverages this passion to help his clients feel more confident about their financial future. Ryan strives to simplify his clients’ financial lives so they understand exactly what they need to do to achieve their dreams and goals. Analytical, patient and confident, he was drawn to the profession because it combined his passion for helping others with his analytical and interpersonal skills.
He enjoys being the trusted advisor working in each client’s best interest to help them reach their goals by defining what matters most, prioritizing their goals and creating a clear vision and plan for the future. With specialization in comprehensive financial planning and asset management, Ryan employs a goal-based approach and primarily focuses on retirement, education and small business planning.
Before starting Boston Harbor Wealth Advisors, Ryan spent eight years at Ameriprise Financial building a successful financial advisory practice. In addition to being an Associate Vice President, he held the role of Associate Manager and helped build the footprint for the Ameriprise new advisor program.
Ryan graduated from Wesleyan University with a bachelor’s degree in economics, and also completed Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business Bridge program. As continuing education is important to him, Ryan earned designations from the College for Financial Planning that include Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor and Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor. These are in addition to his Series 7, 66, 24, and life, accident and health insurance licenses.
While at Wesleyan, Ryan played varsity hockey all four years and captained the team his senior year while earning NESCAC all-academic honors each year. He holds memberships with the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity, Business Networking International and Pingree Alumni Leadership Board and is co-chair of the Pingree Athletics Honor Society. He also volunteers his time with the Greater Boston Food Bank.
A lifelong Massachusetts resident, Ryan makes his home in Somerville with his fiancée, Stephanie, and their Yorkshire terrier, Tucker. In his free time, Ryan enjoys coaching hockey, golfing, fishing and cheering on the Boston Bruins.
