Matt enjoys building ongoing relationships and helping people design their financial future through investment and risk management, retirement, estate and insurance planning. What he enjoys most is seeing firsthand the positive impact that comprehensive financial planning can have on families’ lives. By taking a long-term approach to working with clients, he helps them plan and pursue their goals over time.
A trustworthy professional, he believes clients must feel comfortable with their financial advisor before reviewing their personal goals and revealing the details of their financial picture. By paying attention to all of the intricacies of his client’s lives and helping them identify and articulate short-, mid- and long-term financial goals, he’s able to build and manage a financial plan designed to stand the test of time.
Matt was attracted to the financial services industry because of his natural interest and strength in economics and mathematics. Starting as a financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial, his responsibilities grew and he held positions including district manager, branch manager and complex director over 12 years with the company.
Matt graduated from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He holds the Series 7, 66, 24, 9, 10 and life and health licenses. As an Accredited Asset Management SpecialistSM, he completed a course of study encompassing investments, insurance, tax, retirement, and estate planning issues, and adheres to standards of professional conduct.
Originally from Canterbury, Connecticut, he lives in Littleton, Massachusetts, with his wife, Melissa, and their children, Emma and Owen. When not working with clients, Matt enjoys coaching and playing soccer, skiing, golfing, playing tennis and spending time with his family.
